Is this a rare car? It depends on the condition that makes it makes it rare. The car itself is original. However, the engine has had work on it this year.

The owner is Ed Cholakian. He’s been in the old car business for nearly fifty years. His business started when he couldn’t get parts for a 1947 Cadillac with dual side mounts. Originally, he went to Southern California automobile swap meets. He had a news bag that slipped over his head. He had two horizontal pockets on the front and back, and he would find, buy and then slip the parts into his bag. If he had too much, he would return to his car and leave the parts he just collected. he’d just collected. He went back in for more.

Fast forward to the 70s. The 80s and 90s. He was accredited with the largest collection of Cadillacs from the 40s and 50s. In the middle of the 90s, he auctioned off over Two Hundred and Seventy-Five cars.

Ed has been a long-time member of the Cadillac & LaSalle Club.

Ed has asked that I show this car at several large upcoming car shows. I’m so excited. My last old car was a 2001 SLS four-door:

Just being around old cars refreshes my soul. I love these cars.

This was my last collectible, a 2001 Cadillac SLS with a Northstar engine. W sold it to our middle daughter in 2019.
