A Comfort Zone Is Hard To Define

There are so many of them

A comfort zone can be the speed you drive. It can be how fast you complete a task and move on to the next. It can also be having children or grandchildren in your home for the first time.

Here are a few more examples: You might switch razors or perfume, and the first-time user might not be the effect you wanted. You’ve just stepped from a comfort zone. Here’s another extreme: your date wants sushi for dinner, and you’ve never eaten it before. However, you do not want to disappoint.

The point is that stepping outside your comfort zone is not that unusual an event. The best part and the most often missed bit is,

what did you learn from it?

Did you think about it and appreciate what you’ve learned, or move on to the next thing?

How does one gain wisdom? The simple answer is the life experience you’ve gained. At age twenty-six, you can taste clams for the first time. Lo-and-behold, you found out you like them, but why? Nutritional or just tasty, or do they just feel good going down? What did you learn?
