I’ve spent a lifetime building companies, writing stories, and asking one question that keeps me moving forward: How can I be helpful?
Over the years, I’ve launched more than 30 businesses, written or co-authored 19 books, and published over 700 articles. The common thread across all of them? A belief that character is not optional—it’s foundational. Whether I’m in a boardroom negotiating a deal or sitting with a child discovering their first favorite book, I’ve seen how much stronger communities, families, and businesses become when we put character, integrity, and credibility at the center.
That belief led me to create two lifelong missions:
TinyTales Land — a universe of stories, characters, and adventures designed to teach children ages 4 to 10 the 25 essential traits they’ll need for life. Heroes like Anthony Ant, Alderwise, Hannu the Husky, and Robbie the Bobcat help kids learn resilience, respect, courage, and kindness—not through lectures, but through laughter, struggle, and imagination.
The CIC Initiative (Character, Integrity, Credibility) — a call to action for adults and leaders. CIC isn’t just theory; it’s the gold standard by which trust and legacy are built. I speak, write, and mentor on how credibility is earned, why integrity often requires sacrifice, and how real leadership begins in the choices we make daily.
My journey hasn’t been linear. I’ve been a CEO, a national speaker, a husband of 31 years, a father of six, grandfather of 18, and great-grandfather to eight. Each role has tested me, stretched me, and reminded me that success without character is empty. Legacy, I’ve learned, is built in moments—sometimes when no one is watching.
On Medium, I write with the same focus that drives my life: practical insights, stories that spark reflection, and ideas that challenge easy assumptions.
