Deb, I lost my Father when I was 18 and my mother when I was 20. My Father was sudden. I cried for a few days and then realized that as long as I remember him, he's not really gone.

My Mother died of cancer. It was a prolonged death made worse by a Step Father who was emotionless.

I wound up raising siblings. Looking back. It was an experience that was hard at the time but as you said, "Time Heals." I miss them both still and I'm 77 but I still think of them both. I have memories that comfort me. I'm so sorry for your loss.
