Here's my response indented after what you wrote:
I believe one of humanity’s biggest problems is seeing everything as black and white, good or bad, us vs them. It would be so much better if we united different aspects of life and took out of it what benefits us as a community and as a human race.
YOU ARE RIGHT; WE DO UNTIL WE LEARN TO EMBRACE IT. Then, our use of technology or tools is like everything else we do; more is better, and we use it all the time in every circumstance.
The HI Movement is more about using AI in articles, poems, posts, and stories here on Medium. Asking AI to give the writer 430 words on the following three points is not creative, even if we change some of the words.
However, being scared of new technologies, hiding from them, or denying their existence wouldn’t be a smart choice.
I’ve been using computers since 1965 when the Air Force taught me to program and use the original IBM 365. I’m 77 and many of the people I know my age are still afraid of the technology because they don’t understand it and don’t want to spend their preconceived of how long and how much effort it would take to learn and change. It will always be this way.
We have to learn how to embrace it.
We will. We’ll also learn how to use it properly. As a society, we don’t fully understand how pervasive technology already is. Some of us do. The sole issue right here, right now, is NOT to use AI when creating for Medium or its publications, especially Dancing Elephant Press and some of the other publications that have absolutely banned it. We will remove a writer caught using it.
I hope that clears it up coming from me. Thank you for giving me this forum.
