One Or Many Are Not Like The Other
Or are they just alike?
Over the years, I've probably had hundreds of conversations about differences in everything from people, countries, cultures, religion, and so many more topics. We've all had discussions that included the statement “that's not quite right;” there's a difference.
Here's my education
K — All-white school in a very rural area
1–6 — My sister and I were the only kids with blue eyes and blonde hair
7–8 — My sister and I were the only kids with blue eyes and blonde hair. It was a different ethnicity and culture than 1–6.
9–12–55% were from one culture, 25% from another, leaving me in the 20% section. In that section, all other cultures (and many of them) were represented in that group. The total senior class size was 587 (approximately) kids.
Having grown up with that experience helped me to understand other cultures better.
So, where are we?
The sum of all this still wasn't enough education for me. I wanted to see these cultures for myself. So, as an adult, my work allowed me to travel to many countries. I've visited countries at war and…
