Life Itself

Everything in life hinges on life itself

In 2007, I died of a heart attack just as the paramedics came through our front room door. What happened next doesn’t matter (except for saving my life).

After that heart attack, everything felt different. I appreciated everything as I had never done in the past. The smallest of things, I appreciated their value. Probably for the first time in my life, I listened, really listened. What I learned changed my life in ways it’s difficult to express or even understand.

Life is what I am most grateful for. Why? Without life, there is no need to be grateful. You would be too late.
