Some people are defined by, Oh, she does crafts. Or, he’s a photographer. He’s into trends. She’s into fashion. I am a car guy. I freely admit this.

In each case, folks like me are passionate about what we do. The world can always use more people with passion.

Special thanks to Wire Editor Newman.

I’ve been a Cadillac enthusiast since a week before I married my wife on October 1, 1994. Just before we were to be wed she said, “You know, you’re going to have to drive a Cadillac after you marry me. A little slow, it took a couple of nanoseconds to think that through. She started working as a Controller for a Cadillac Dealer in Long Beach in 1968. When she retired in 2014, we owned more than forty Cadillacs at one time or another.

In 2016, I was privileged to serve as the President of the Las Vegas Cadillac Club and served for four years. While serving, our members accomplished so many good things. We hold a Cadillac Through The Years event every fall. Everything from 1903 to 2022 is represented including some of the best custom Cadillacs from 1976 back brought to the event by Cadillac Kings a world wide Cadillac Club.

Cadillac was named the Standard of the World in 1908.

I probably need a twelve step program for my addition but I have to admit, collecting and driving refreshes my soul.

The car in the photos (above)is a 1946 Cadillac Fleetwood 60 special. Notice the back seat, everything but a divider window (option). I was too late to get this Cadillac but someone is enjoying it everyday.

I’d really like to hear about your passion in the comments.
