The Winner Is . . .
Mary Lou Heater is the winner of this year’s contest, #ThankAVeteran
She has been a part of the system that is trying to help as many members of the Veteran Community as possible.
As possible, a few years ago, I was the co-owner of a Not-for-Profit that focused on feeding the homeless, especially Veterans and children. As possible was a defining term that always managed to restrict our ability to help. Pizza Hut in Las Vegas was our sole contributor. They contributed money for our van and equipment. They contribute thousands of Pizzas, dough baked into a “Jesus Loaf” (a term the owner of all the Pizza Hut franchises in Las Vegas and Henderson created) that can be eaten by anyone with a hungry tummy.
I hope and pray that when you Thank A Veteran, you understand that the freedom we enjoy is because he and she provided through the service they gave to the U.S.
