Some things happened to some friends of mine that caused me to understand better why we're so firm in our prejudicial beliefs.

My Grandfather was a Buick guy while my Dad was a die-hard Chevy man. I'm a confirmed believer and buyer of Cadillacs.

This same notion of prejudicial beliefs can also be applied to people's races, heights, homes, and even the types of police cars that patrol our neighborhoods.

Once we have a belief in our mind, it will always be there until we decide to change it. So, what do we have to prove that will make you change your mind about being prejudicial about (fill in the blank)?

The amount of evidence on any topic is overwhelming. Will that ever change your mind? Is it that your parents felt that way about something, and so to honor them, you won't change your mind, no matter what?

Frankly, the reasons become a long list that is too difficult to comprehend fully.

What is hard to understand is, “Why can’t we all get along?”
