To Follow Or Not To Follow
That is the question.
Let me begin by saying I don’t understand, do you? All day long, I’m getting notices that [member’s name] + XX others started following you.
I’m so grateful that people want to follow my writing. That’s one of the reasons I joined Medium in the first place. The other is that I felt like I have a lot to say on a variety of subjects.
The discrepancy is getting wider. We all understand that if twelve people want to follow us, the number of followers on our profile should go up by that number. Does it? Is that your experience?
As of 2:05 PST, here’s how much of a difference there is:
I recently started following a member that’s been on board; her writing is excellent. In the one year she’s been a member, and she now has over 1K followers.
I think all of us would agree, especially those who are new; we need our stats to be correct. We count on the platform to be accurate.
Will Medium help us out?
