At first, I didn’t have enough money to either rent or buy a piano and get lessons. Then that changed. No more money excuses. Next was my time. I was in my mid-twenties when I decided I wanted this skill. I didn’t realize how much time would be available with two, four, and six children.

When I was in my late forties, I realized we could have all learned. I then worked five to seven days a week, running company after company. It left no time to develop unnecessary skills in my daily business.

The fifth time I tried to retire (2012), I thought of wanting to play the piano. It was then I realized I loved what I was doing and wouldn’t give up anything I was doing to learn piano. It was then that the desire to learn this skill died.
