The reason for this prompt must be that one of the editors has a friend that’s a dentist.

Life makes me smile because every day I’m alive and have one more day with my wife. However, that is an overarching reason to smile.

  • I smile when I see it’s 4 pm because my wife is leaving work.
  • I smile when my wife comes home.
  • I smile when my wife fixes food for the dogs.
  • I smile when my wife works in the backyard or anywhere she can plant a flower.
  • I smile when my wife says, “Give me a kiss or hug.”
  • I smile when my wife buys something (retail therapy).
  • l smile when I watch my wife’s interaction with one of our six children.
  • I smile when I see my wife have a heart-to-heart with one of our girls or grandchildren.
  • I smile when I think of my wife helping her eighty-six-year-old employer with health problems, including dementia.
  • I smile when it crosses my mind and realize how much my wife loves me.

My family is important to me and makes me smile the most.
