What is that gift that would refresh your soul right now?

Of course, everyone needs at least one advantage.

As we get older, our priorities change, and the things we like to do also change.

'Walking'

Since the time I first crawled, walking was always the goal. My legs have always responded to my call for action. Case in point, football was a passion of mine in high school, the Air Force, and Semi-Pro.

My legs were essential to me as long as I played football. After that, I hadn't given as much thought to their health or use until someone said of me (when I was in my mid-twenties). "Hey, Rawson, why do you walk like a duck?" I asked others I trusted to evaluate my walking. Out of that evaluation came this statement. "For a guy that's Chairman & CEO of a large company, you must realize that your walk does not help your presence as you enter the room.

The comments made were a bit of a harsh reality check, but I appreciated them nonetheless. At first, when I was given this news, I held a little one-person pity party. That didn't help. Then I transferred the blame to my parents. Because of them, I walked like that for so many years. But, again, that wasn't helpful, and both had passed away by the time I was twenty-one.
