Full disclosure: I am a Vietnam Veteran (1967–1968). Six months after graduating from High School, I enlisted. I didn’t take the full scholarships; I elected to take Uncle Sam's challenge.

Do you know a Veteran? Pretend you’re walking near them. If you turned toward them, what would you say? Would you curse them? Would you give them your heartfelt thanks for their service?

Whenever I wear my Air Force Vietnam Veteran hat, a few people, mostly people in my generation, say, “Thank you for your service.”
