Why Would You Follow?

When you can lead

Obviously, not everyone can lead because not everyone possesses the skill to lead.

It’s different for everyone. For some, it’s safe, it’s commitment, and for some, it’s history.

When you follow someone, are you exchanging your right to make another decision? It depends on who you are and why you’re following. Have you ever found a leader to be in error? What then, do you change your mind or do you take the lead?

So what does gratitude have to do with leadership or following? The concept we’re talking about is free will, which is also referred to as free agency.

We can lead or follow. We can go or stay. We can become or not. The gratitude is that with free will or free agency, we get to choose—always.
