Writers That Inspire
They make me better
I had written two books before I retired (after six attempts). During the course of my career, I’ve had a lot of experiences that people find interesting. People have always asked that I write about those experiences for others. I titled my third book, Unlikely. It’s the story of a homeless boy, and everyone said it was UnLikely that I would ever succeed. The book is available on Amazon.
Gary Friedman was the first writer to inspire me. He also gave me lots of encouragement. Gary has written over 35 books. Most of them are about Sony and other cameras. He’s also an assistant editor for one of the most prestigious camera magazines in the world, Cameracraft, published in London.
I’d been drifting around in Medium for about a year. Out of the blue, Nancy Blackman, owner of Refresh The Soul, asked me to write about courage, change, and gratitude. I agreed. Thanks to her request, I’ve now written over 100 articles.
Along the way, others have followed me and vice versa. What a treat to read articles from talented writers. I spend a couple of hours a day reading fiction and non-fiction from writers on Medium.
