You Say, “I’m Retired.”
In your next breath, you say, I have no idea what I’m doing.
When you retire, do you have something to do?
Do you golf or tennis, or are you a chess guru? Maybe, you fish?
So, what do you do? Without something constructive, you will get frustrated and angry.
Retirement
Many of us say we want or wish we could retire. I had a different view. I remember that the vast majority of those retiring while I was in my twenties died within five years.
I lived in Florida and traveled the southern states with my business. So many homes had wrap-around porches (of death). Retired people would sit there and watch the grass grow, cars pass by, and wait for the mailman.
Me
It took me six times trying to retire before I got it right. The first time I was thirty-six. The sixth time I was sixty-six when I finally figured it out. I was seventy-five when I understood retirement and knew what I wanted to do.
Clubs
Not that kind. In my case, a car club. The Las Vegas Cadillac Car Club. I became its President for four years. Great fun. I love Cadillacs and working with more than 120 members and their spouses or partners. It became like a second family.
